Anson & Deeley Ejector
Category : D
Caliber : 12-2½''-65mm
A rare “Anson & Deeley Ejector” side-by-side, made circa 1885 by Westley-Richards & C°.
The superb 30” damascus barrels, improved cylinder and full choke, retain their original .727” bore, slightly darkened and much of the outside brown finish.
The ejectors are of the Deeley “in box” pattern while the safety is automatic with gold “SAFE” detail.
The 14½” LOP straight stock is made from a very nicely figured piece of French walnut, darkened by too many oil coats, like the splinter black horn capped forend with Deeley latch.
The gun weights 6lb 9oz and is perfectly balanced at the opening join.
That perfectly usable shotgun is an interesting sample of the very first Anson & Deeley 1875 pattern, made by the renowned firm Westley-Richards & C°, London.
