Category : D
Caliber : 16/65mm/2½"
Beautiful DARNE V19 sliding breach side-by-side gun made in 1931.
This nice 16GA 2½" fixed barrels gun is in original condition and if the wood presents some marks of storage the weapon is in perfect mechanical condition and retains the superb finish that has made the reputation of the Saint-Etienne manufacture.
The "Three Palmes" barrels measure 27" in length and retain almost all their original slow rust blue.
The rounded semi-pistol grip stock is made of beautiful French walnut with a 14½" LOP measured on a thin composition butt plate, which is an uncommon measure on a fixed DARNE that are usually shorter.
The sliding breach, the action table and the trimming are engraved with scrolls and bouquets, while the fences are elegantly chiseled with acanthus.
The functioning is perfect, the large key firmly locking the sliding breech and the selective ejectors expelling strongly the fired cases.
With a weight of only 5lb-12oz and a perfect balance this rifle is very lively and of an undeniable efficiency.
