Caliber : .375 H&H Magnum Rimless
Nice sidelocks ejector side-by-side express double rifle, made June 1977 by Franz SODIA, in Ferlach, Austria.
The 24" chopper lump barrels are made in Böhler Rasant steel and are chambered for the universal .375 H&H Magnum Rimless cartridge.
The action uses a Kersteen Greener upper bar with double bolt lugs at the barrels and sports two H&H rear springs sidelocks, easily detachable by means of a concealed key.
The front trigger, that fires the right barrel, is a combined set hair trigger.
The ejectors are of the H&H pattern and the sighting line relies on a slanted express rear sight set on short rib and regulated on a silver front bead on a ramp.
The engraving, perfectly executed, is a traditional Austrian ornament composed of scrolls and bouquets, the whole being gray finished.
The 14½" LOP classic stock is made of high quality French walnut. It is fitted with a soft English reddish butt pad and the splinter forend uses a Deeley latch.
This express seems to have been sparingly used; the bores remains perfect, as is the faultless operation.
The convergence is set at 60 meters for 2" dispersion with 300 grains loads.
This well-balanced double rifle weighs 9lb-4.5oz.
