The Model 21H CZ-BRNO was developed at Ceskoslovenská Zbrojovka Brno, Národní Podnik, as a modernized evolution of the 98' Mauser small ring.

This 1950 example is chambered for the traditional 8x57JS cartridge.

The forged steel action features a narrow receiver incorporating the 5/8" mounting rails common to post-war Czech production, while the controlled-feed bolt differs from the original Mauser by its elegantly curved lever and its clever safety allowing for the low mounting of an optic.

An elegant shotgun-style trigger guard protects the finely tuned double set trigger.

The 24" Poldi steel barrel sports, on bands, a single-leaf folding rear sight and a silver bead dovetailed on a knurled front ramp.

The 14½" LOP stock, finished with a 0,8" soft pad, is made from European walnut and features a classic continental shape with schnabel ending forend.

This beautifully condition rifle weighs just 6lb-9oz.
