We wanted to assemble the best components to build the best 6.5 PRC technical mountain hunting rifle.

For this, we selected the following components:

 

• Modified Tikka T3x stainless steel action
• 24½" fluted Sako stainless steel barrel
• New bolt handle
• Machined AU4G bolt shroud
• MDT magazines
• All metal parts treated with Cerakote H-146 Graphite Black
• Bixn'Andy match trigger set to 11oz
• MDT HNT26 carbon chassis system folding buttstock
• Backlanz Ultimate ultra-light carbon bipod [4.48oz]
• Quick-release mount on custom-made Picatinny base
• FBT Inca Titanium/carbon OBS44Ti suppressor
• Swarovski Z8i 3.5-28x50i scope with BTF ballistic turret
• ERATAC Recknagel bubble level
• Talley USA 20MOA Picatinny rail
• HMS super low 30^mm rings

 

With its 24½" long barrel and 13½" LOP stock the rifle weighs 6lb-11oz.

Mounting the Swarovski Z8i scope brings the total weight to 8lb-8oz.

 

Tested at the range with Norma Bondstrike Extrem 143gr cartridges this rifle delivered extraordinary sub ½ MOA accuracy.
