HSc "Adler über 135" - 1943
MAUSER ORIGINAL OBERNDORF
Handguns
Category : B
Caliber : 7,65mm / 32ACP
An interesting original example of the MAUSER Model HSc [Hahn-Selbstspanner Pistole Ausführung c], produced in Oberndorf around July or August 1943.
This is the third variant of the model, bearing the "Adler über 135" Waffenamt acceptance stamp, indicating that the pistol was inspected and approved as part of a direct order from the Army High Command [Oberkommando des Heeres].
At this stage of the war, this compact .32ACP/7.65mm model was a highly prized sidearm, issued primarily to combat officers.
This HSc is fitted with black plastic grips; although checkered wood was the standard in the summer of 1943, the Oberndorf factory intermittently installed plastic grips to cope with wood shortages and accelerate production.
The molded three-letter manufacturer code "ejo" 2228 identifies the subcontractor Klöckner-Werke responsible for injection-molding the plastic parts for Mauser.
Additionally, the marking on the magazine baseplate confirms the authenticity of that component.
This elegant pistol, featuring perfectly ergonomic handling, stands as a testament to the superior craftsmanship of MAUSER-WERKE.
