An exceptionally fine single shot break open rifle in the true Ferlacher tradition, made circa 1977 by master Josef JUST.
The monobloc integral ribbed octagonal and round 25" barrel in Böhler “Super Blitz” steel is chambered for the flat shooting 6,5x68.R cartridge.
The rust blued barrel bears a ZEISS "Diavari" Z 1½-6x42 R.4 scope on claw mounts.
The quadruple Kersteen-Greener bolt, top lever blitz system action is fitted with German double set trigger, automatic safety and H&H automatic ejector on double guide extractor.
The great Albin OBILTSCHNIG as finely chiseled in deep relief three hunting scenes on a foliate background, the whole finished in French grey. He has also done the splendid relief inlay of the intertwined K-R letters on the trigger guard.
Selected French walnut was used for the very nice 14½” LOP stock with beaded oval cheek piece and leather covered slim buttplate. The forend is finished with a rounded tip of black horn and contrasting spacer.
That fine kipplauf weights 7lbs without scope and 8lbs-6oz with the Zeiss fitted.
That rifle, in near new condition, is a perfect sample of the best quality kipplauf single shot Austrian light hunting rifle and it is of exceptional quality
