L.46 "Riihimaki" 222
SAKO
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .222 Remington
That rarely encountered L.46 was build circa 1953 in Riihimaki, Finland, and it's chambered for the then new 222 Remington cartridge.
The 24" Bofors steel barrel doesn't bears its rear sight but retain the front one with its original bead and sliding protector.
The all steel small action, with machined grooved receiver sports a second type safety shroud and is of upmost quality.
Feeding is through a detachable magazine box and the adjustable trigger is tuned to a light and crisp let off.
A period Weaver KV 2¾-5x scope with fine cross hair is mounted on low Sako 1" monobloc detachable first type rings.
The classically elegant stock is made from light colored dense French walnut, with rounded forend, egg shaped cheekpiece, well checkered forearm and capped grip. A monogrammed composition buttplate ends the 13¾" LOP stock.
Perfectly preserved, unmolested and well cared, that nice vintage light rifle is extremely accurate; it weights 6-lbs.2-oz. without scope and 7-lbs.2-oz. with the Weaver fitted.
Indeed it bears our full guarantee.
