Prince Albert Best Gun
LEBEAU COURALLY
Shotguns
Category : C
Caliber : 12-70mm/2¾"
This marvelously elegant side-locks side-by-side gun left the workshop of the prestigious Liège gunmaker LEBEAU COURALLY in 1969.
This rounded action "Prince Albert" model is fitted with hand detachable H&H side-locks, triple Purdey bolts and articulated first trigger.
The H&H pattern automatic ejectors stroke wide rim extractors.
The coin finished action, side plates and fittings are superbly engraved with an ornamentation mixing foliage scrolls and floral bouquets in the highest quality of execution.
In order to protect the internal elements from oxidation, the parts of the mechanism are entirely gilded with fine gold while insides sidelock plates and action flats reveal the original case hardening surface treatment.
The 28", ¼ & ¾ choked, Walhreyne's compressed steel, chopper lump barrels, with their mirror bores, display exceptional performance as confirmed by the Liège proof house test targets annexed to the sale.
H&H type hammer ejectors strike wide development cartridge pullers.
The straight English style stock, cut from handsome, nicely figured and well-seasoned French walnut display a 14½" LOP measured on the wood butt while a Purdey style latch locks the splinter forearm.
The perfect flat topped checkering and a free of initials oval complete the finish of the stock.
This wonderfully balanced 6lb 8oz gun is in mint condition.
It seems to have been sparingly used, its mechanism remaining extremely tight and the whole gun having retained its entire original finishes without any alteration.
This "Prince Albert" LEBEAU COURALLY is delivered with Liege proof house certificates and bores tests as well as with an original case label of the prestigious maker.
This best gun benefits from an unconditional guarantee and presents the opportunity to acquire a significant specimen of the highest quality of execution at a particularly advantageous price if one considers the current pricing.
