ES.350B "Meisterschafts KK Büchse"
MAUSER ORIGINAL OBERNDORF
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .22Lr
An excellent example of the single-shot ES.350B “Meisterschafts-Büchse” .22lr sporting rifle, manufactured circa 1937 by Mauser Werke A.G. in Oberndorf.
The second-type breechblock with offset bolt is a reduced 98 system with controlled round feed blade extractor, flag safety and adjustable trigger.
This rifle has been optimized for shooting, and in addition to the superb micrometric rear sight sliding on the rail cut into the 26½" heavy tapered barrel, the right side of the receiver supports a very fine Lyman 48 diopter designed for longer distances, the whole aim system set on the interchangeable bead front sight engaged on an elongated ramp.
The 14½" LOP stock, stamped with the Mauser logo, is made of beautiful European walnut (juglans regia).
The grip and fore-end are extensively checkered; a cap and a Mause banner monogrammed butt plate complete the fitting.
That rifle has undergone an extremely careful overhaul, with no alterations other than the Lyman diopter installed in the 1960s.
With its perfect barrel and flawless operation, this beautiful 8lbs 4oz ES.350B remains one of the finest examples we have tested.
** This Mauser rifle is eligible for TAR in event 820 §IV-1 **
