The strong 25½" barrel bears a micrometric rear sight graduated to 200 meters and a quickly interchangeable front sight on an extended ramp.

The 14½" LOP stock is made of nice blond walnut, its right side stamped with the Mauser logo and finished with the traditional monogrammed Mauser buttplate.

This rifle is fitted with a rarely encountered high grade "Jaguar" 2.5 x 18 with n^o.7 reticle, scope made by W&H Seibert in Wetzlar.

Wilhelm and Heinrich Seibert, renowned for their high-quality microscopes, began their careers at the famous Carl Kellers optics company in Wetzlar. After Otto Seibert's death, Leitz Wetzlar (Leica) took over their business.

This optic is mounted on a wonderful quick detachable Viennese clamp mount (Wiener Schnäppermontage), specially made for the rifle.

The whole is in perfect condition, retaining almost all the factory bluing and the majority of the original finishes.

Scoped, the rifle weighs 7lb 5oz while unscoped it shows 6lb on the scale.
