Category : C
Caliber : .222 Remington
A rarely encountered Sako L46 manufactured in Riihimäki, Finland, circa 1955, and chambered for the then-brand-new .222 Remington cartridge.
The 24" Bofors steel barrel retains its original stepped rear sight and hooded ramped front sight.
The superb all steel small action, featuring a second-generation safety shroud and machined grooved receiver, is of unmatched quality.
It feeds from a detachable four-round magazine, and the adjustable trigger offers a crisp, clean, light pull set at 30 oz.
An excellent Kahles Helia CT 2-7x36 4A scope is mounted to the receiver using original Sako 1" rings.
This mount is a masterpiece of engineering; in addition to its secure fit on the tapered dovetail, it features a click-adjustable windage system controlled by knobs on the opposite side of the slotted locks.
This feature ensures perfect optical centering.
The elegant, classic 13¾" LOP stock, crafted from dense, light-colored walnut, features a small oval cheekpiece and a slender forend; both the forend and the capped pistol grip finely checkered while the factory monogrammed buttplate ends the stock.
Perfectly preserved and in remarkable, untouched condition, this rare and beautiful vintage rifle offers extreme accuracy; it weighs 6lb 7oz bare and 7lb 9oz scoped.
It bears indeed our full guarantee.
