Caliber : .416 Rigby
This African rifle was built by a Belgian craftsman in Liege on a deeply modified Mauser 98 'system.
The action is fitted with a large-capacity magazine with removable key-locked floorplate, Timney single stage trigger, low FN safety flag and W70 style bolt handle.
The heavy 25" barrel carries an express sight with two gold lined leaves regulated on a fine bead combined with a moon-sight; the two supports being full band soldered.
The rifle is chambered for the all time classic .416 Rigby and regulated for 400 grains loads.
This.416 benefits from two interchangeable stocks, an elegant classic one made of beautiful French walnut and a technical full carbon all terrain stock.
Both stocks are 14¼" in length and feature Kick-Eez shock absorbing sorbothane butt pad and mercury recoil reducer.
The wooden stock is English style with a ebony tipped forend and color casehardened trim. It is reinforced by a full bedding of excellent quality and shows no cracks nor defects.
A 26mm steel tube Karl KAHLES Helia S 2.5 × 20 R4 scope is fitted to the left side of the receiver on a fine double-lever side mount made of steel.
In technical configuration this .416 Rigby weighs 9lbs 2oz in open sight guise and 10lbs 5oz scoped.
