Colt Frontier Six Shooter

COLT

Firearms for collectors

Category : D

Caliber : 44-40WCF

Very fine COLT Frontier revolver caliber 44-40WCF* in remarkable condition.

This 5½" barrel single action retains much of the original finish with slightly faded blue and color case hardening still present on the receiver much area.

The one-piece American walnut (Juglans Nigra) grip is numbered to the gun.

With time and use the wood has taken on a dark color without showing the slightest sign of cracking.

The markings are superbly clear and the serial number dates the production of this Hartford produced revolver in 1899.

This Colt is therefore classified in category D, for free sale and free possession.

The single action operation doesn't require any comments, the cylinder indexing is perfect and the barrel bore is remarkably clean.

Very beautiful US historical collector's item in rare condition.
