Defourny in Liege build that fine Continental double rifle before WW2 for Sosnowski in Warsaw.
The side plated Anson & Deeley action, fitted with Purdey triple fasteners, bears double triggers, the front one being articulated.
The 23½'' "Best Crucible Steel" chopper lump barrels are chambered for the all time classic 9,3x74R cartridge while the automatic ejectors are of H&H design.
The straight rib with single blade folding rear sight is inlaid with the bases for a very low high quality Ferlach quick detachable scope mount.
The optic is a 30mm tube Karl Kaps Wetzlar 2-8x42 R.1 scope
A very nice walnut was used to make the Bavarian styled 14" LOP stock with triple beaded Austrian cheekpiece and black horn grip cap.
A cartridges trap is fitted under the stock and all parts and furniture, finished in French grey, are engraved with English scroll and bouquet.
That double rifle weights 7lbs 8oz alone and 8lbs 16oz scoped, it is in perfect condition and shoots perfectly.
It is delivered in its well-preserved leather case.
