David LLOYD .264WM Stalking Rifle
LLOYD
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .264 Winch. Mag.
A superb example of a LLOYD stalking rifle made by David Llewellyn Lloyd & Co at Pipewell Hall in Northamptonshire.
This .264 Winchester Magnum rifle uses a 24" Vickers steel barrel assembled on an extensively modified Mauser 98' action.
Note the lowered dogleg bolt handle, the modified safety shroud that has lost its traditional flag and the excellent Sako single stage trigger with lateral safety button.
However the main characteristic of the rifle remains the extraordinary super low scope mount of absolute rigidity [1949 British Patent 646419] that bears a SWAROVSKI "Habicht" PF 8x50 R4A Ø 30mm steel tube scope.
The stock is made of beautiful oil finished walnut and displays a 14" LOP measured on the thin red rubber pad.
The barrel is fitted with a very effective muzzle brake that can be easily removed to eventually attach a sound moderator, as it's customary across the Channel.
With a contained 8lb 14oz total weight and the excellent .264WM accuracy this set is the perfect tool for chasing deer in Scottish moors!
