That superb FN superposed was built in 1966 for the US market.
The 30" chopper lump barrels are 3" chambered and bear their original improved modified and full chokes and the ventilated rib is 1/3" wide.
R. Dewill, FN engraver, has finely engraved the entire action and fitting in English scrolls with hunting vignettes depicting capercaillie, pheasant and quails, the whole being finished in French grey.
Notice the finely carved fences that are a very rare variation of the C grade engraving of the sixties.
The 15" LOP stock, made from selected well-seasoned French walnut, bears the traditional rounded grip and sports its original soft butt plate, labeled FN-Herstal, Belgique. It retains the majority of its initial finish with a perfectly preserved checkering.
