Caliber : 12-70mm-2¾"
An exceptional FN Browning Herstal, Model FCS25 D3 "Grand Luxe", over under gun manufactured in 1974 for one of the directors of Fabrique Nationale.
This shotgun is in pristine, unfired condition, having only been test-fired at the Liège proof house.
The 28" chopper lump barrels, with fine ventilated rib, have their chokes bored to .715" (¼ choke) for the bottom barrel and .701" (½ choke) for the top one.
The entire grey hardened action body and all fittings are engraved with a magnificent English scrollwork pattern interspersed with floral bouquet rondures.
The engraving bears dual signatures: M. Di Franco executed the English tapestry, while A. Cuisset engraved the rosettes and bouquets.
The rounded action features double chiseled fences and a selective single trigger, while the swan neck stock and slim three parts, light schnabeled, forend are crafted from extraordinary collector-grade French walnut, featuring superb, fine wrap-around checkering.
The length of pull, measured to the checkered wood butt, is 14½" while the gun, perfectly balanced at the hinge pin, weighs precisely 6lb 12oz.
This FCS25, in the rare D3 best grade configuration and featuring an exceptional finish, is in absolute mint unfired condition and comes with our full warranty.
The shotgun is supplied disassembled in an FN Browning case.
