GRANGER

Shotguns

Category : C

Caliber : 12-70mm/2¾"

This superb low action over-under is the only shotgun of its kind bearing the GRANGER signature.

This unique example is the work of the late Richard LEVY, the great master whose demanding quality and pursuit of perfection are universally recognized.

Built in late 2015 on a Woodward-type action, the firing mechanism is provided by hand detachable rear spring H&H double safety sidelocks.

Two bolts engage large mortises machined at the bottom of the 28½" chopper lump barrels, both choked 9/10°, while the ejectors strike wide rim cartridge extractors.

The hand etched sight rib stretches from .275" to .196" in width and the barrels bear on their sides elegant fore-end bearing bands.

The stock is crafted from a fantastic piece of collector walnut whose beauty is unimpaired by any checkering.

Passionately hand finished with oil, the wood reveals an impressive shaded of red marble cake figure.

The stock, with its elongated pistol grip, displays a 15" LOP measured on the finely curved wood butt plate, while a Purdey push-button, under scalloped cap, locks the subtly rounded forearm.

The receiver and all fittings were engraved with sumptuous English ornamentation by Creative Art studios in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy.

Note the presence of a magnificent fleur-de-lis inlaid and chiseled in raised gold as well as the extremely high-quality markings in Old English characters flush inlaid in gold.

Also, the chiseling of the safety button is remarkably elegant.

After incision, all parts were color case hardened before being patinated in a delicate soft gray.

To further highlight the exceptional quality of this piece, the gun is presented with its accessories in a beautiful English made black leather case whose inside is covered in blue cloth and bears the manufacturer's label.

Weighing 3lb 14oz for the action assembled to the stock and 4lb for the barrels and their forend, this 7lb 14oz over-and-under is perfectly balanced and meets the standards of similar London productions.

This exceptional shotgun is backed by our full warranty.
