Mod. 1908 8x57IS – German proofed
MANNLICHER-SCHÖNAUER
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 8x57JS
A beautiful 1908 stutzen, in very good condition, built in 1913 and Vienna proofed in 1919.
This rifle is chambered for the 8x57JS and bears also the period German proof marks for that caliber.
Some 1908 models were produced in this caliber as well as in 7x57 for outside Austria markets.
The action combines the excellent Mannlicher bolt with the sumptuous Schönauer rotary magazine. The operation is perfectly unctuous and the rifle retains almost all of its factory slow rust blue.
All parts are at the serial number and no modification has altered the originality of this beautiful gun.
The perfect bore 20" barrel has kept its factory iron sights.
The 14¼" LOP stock, made of good Continental walnut, with its well preserved checkering, has no defect nor crack, and sports the original steel trapped butt plate.
This stocked to the muzzle rifle, in perfect condition, weighs only 6lbs 6oz.
Its state of preservation makes it a good choice for the man who wants to hunt with a "vintage" rifle of the highest quality.
It bears indeed our full guarantee.
