A very fine 6" barreled S&W Model 28-2 produced by SMITH & WESSON, Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1969 on the large N frame.

This special version of the traditional Model 27 was originally intended for Highway Patrol use.

This superbly balanced revolver is chambered for the powerful .357 Magnum cartridge.

For the vast majority of collectors and shooters, the Model 28-2 is considered the best version of the Model 28, owing to key traditional features that the manufacturer later discontinued:

- Pinned barrel

- Counterbored cylinder

- Mechanical reliability: the 28-2 version corrected the ejector rod thread direction and improved the cylinder latch, which had been problematic on earlier versions.

This meticulously maintained Smith & Wesson comes with its well-preserved BUCHEIMER B11 "Perfect Fit" heavy leather OWB [outside the waistband] holster.

 

It remains in superb state of preservation and carries our full warranty.
