Superb example of a Model 52 .22lr rifle made in 1930 by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company's.
Long considered the most accurate of rimfire rifles, this repeating Winchester small bore originated from Thomas C. Johnson patents and production began in New Haven in September 1919.
The rifle is fitted with a semi-weight 28" barrel and a very precise line of sight consisting of a micrometric diopter fixed to the rear (Pat.Nov.11,1919.Apr27.1920) of the receiver and a Lyman tunnel at the front of the tube.
The straight comb stock, made of American walnut (juglans nigra), displays a 13 3/8" LOP measured on the checkered steel butt plate.
The forend bears a barrel band on the front quarter supporting the 1907 type sling swivel.
In addition, this Model 52 is equipped with a superb Unertl "Small Game" 6x scope with crosshair reticle, mounted on a set of fully machined steel micrometric supports. This vintage lens, perfectly clear, is one of the rarest productions of the optician from Mars in Pennsylvania.
All parts of the rifle and its accessories are made of machined steel and finely blued.
The functions of this Mod. 52 as its extreme accuracy are beyond reproach and the weapon is delivered with several additional original magazines.
Scoped the weapon weighs 9lb 6oz while the rifle alone weighs 8lb 6oz.
This ninety old Winchester Model 52 is in an exceptional state of preservation retaining practically 100% of the factory finishes.
This is an extremely rare offer on the European continent.
