DORLEAC & DORLEAC
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .243 Winchester
Stocked to the muzzle rifle, known as "Stutzen", built on an extremely rare commercial 98' Original Mauser Kurz action produced in Oberndorf circa 1930.
This action has been fully blue printed and optimized with the addition of a new lowered bold handle with three panels checkered knob, a side swing safety conversion and the fitting of a newly machined five cartridges magazine with straddle floorplate.
The combined French set trigger was built on a MAK stecher system.
The special steel Lothar Walther 21'' match grade barrel, chambered for the .243 Winchester, is fitted with Mauser type front and rear sights, the slanted rear with two gold lined leaves and the front bead of transverse Oberndorf pattern. A handmade narrow claw mount has bee specifically designed for the, made in Austria, Swarovski 3-9×36 R4A Z3 scope.
The D&D classic styled stock benefits from a beautiful well-seasoned French walnut.
It combines a Schönauer full length forend with an elongated grip, straight comb and beaded oval cheekpiece. The steel muzzle cap, the color casehardened curved and checkered butt plate, the engraved grip cap, also casehardened in color, and the typical bow front sling swivel, complete the fittings.
The full action, the scope rings and the furniture are finely hand engraved in subdued English style shaded scrolls while the claw mount and rear sight bases are treated in old-fashioned antireflection engraving.
The serial number is inlaid in gold on the trigger bow and on the left side of the receiver front ring as is the SAFE => detail on the safety.
All parts are blued with the exception of the bone and charcoal color casehardened fittings; the extractor blade and bolt stop remaining nitre blued.
The rifle weighs 7lb 6oz net and 8lb 6oz scoped.
