WINCHESTER 1895 Custom – 270W

WINCHESTER

Rifles

Category : C

Caliber : .270 Winchester

A fine customized Model 1895 produced under the WINCHESTER name in the late 1990s.

The rifle retains its excellent 24" barrel chambered in .270 WCF, while the action has undergone extensive modification.

The unsightly tang-mounted safety has been removed, the internal mechanism modified, and both the hammer and trigger feature traditional color casehardened finish.

The crisp trigger pull is set to 3lb 8oz let off.

The receiver is impeccably polished, ensuring exceptionally smooth operation.

Features include a rare period Winchester "Express" rear sight, a red rubber butt pad bearing the manufacturer's logo, and fine checkering on the 14" LOP straight-grip stock and forend—both crafted from American walnut [juglans nigra].

The complete rifle sports a beautiful blued finish with subtle blue undertones.

Weighing 8lb 9oz, this rifle remains remarkably well balanced and delivers surprising accuracy.
