D & D Custom
Category : C
Caliber : .270 Winchester
A very special custom work on a 1947 transition Winchester 70-pre 64 rifle.
The original 24’’barrel, perfectly inside polished with a trued chamber is fitted to the blue-printed action.
The magazine base plate and trigger guard now of the monobloc steel type house a very light 7oz trigger.
The stock was made from a fine piece of French walnut, fitted with black ebony forend tip, steel grip cap and original “Super Grade” swivels bases, neatly inlayed. The soft red butt plate put the LOP to 14,5’’
An original and “n.i.b” Lyman 48WJS is combined with the front sight and the fine Kahles CT 3-9x42 R.4A scope is fitted on a much modified Redfield type swing mount, customised for rapid take apart of the optic.
The net weight of the scoped rifle assembly is 9¼ lbs.
