An excellent 9,3x62 ZG47 large ring 98' Mauser produced in 1961 by Ceskoslovenská Zbrojovka Brno, Národní Podnik, and customized by the BRIANO Arms Company in Montrouge, France.

This rifle, developed by Galas in 1947 and marketed in the early 1950s, represents the finest evolution of the civilian Mauser system.

The rifle, with its refinished Rigby-type stock, has been extensively customized by BRIANO, who reduced the Poldi steel barrel length to 22" before equipping the tube with band sling swivel base and contrasting iron sights line.

An Eramatic Recknagel swing mount was chosen to mount the excellent and highly versatile Kahles Helia CT 2-7x36 R4 scope. The front base of the swivel system is welded to the barrel while the rear 1" ring locks onto the ¾" rail of the receiver's rear bridge.

A recoil block with engraved buttons reinforces the 14¼" LOP stock, whose pistol grip is finished with a steel cap.

Finally, the trigger has had its single stage release adjusted for a 2lb-10oz clean let off.

With a net weight of 7lb-15oz and only 9lb scoped, this perfectly preserved rifle is a perfect choice for hunting big wild boars and large deer, without its versatility preventing it from stalking or selection shots during the deer rut.
