Category : C

Caliber : .308 Winchester

We set out to create the most all-around rifle for continental hunting.

To achieve this, we chose the .308 Winchester caliber as its ballistic performance with modern 165 and 180grain bullets makes it suitable for hunting the majority of European game species.

The action is a rare, classic DAKOTA 76 short action that we have fully blueprinted and optimized for reliability, replacing the original trigger with a crisp-breaking single stage TIMNEY.

The 24½" LOTHAR WALTHER match-grade barrel, chambered to minimum CIP specifications for the .308 Winchester, features a sighting line comprising a flush folding gold-lined rear sight and a fine bead front sight set on a spear shaped ramp with removable hood.

To accommodate a potential sound moderator, the 11° match-grade muzzle is threaded ½"-28 TPI beneath a concealed thread protector.

The 14½" LOP stock, crafted from best quality well figured French walnut, features the classic D&D style, combining an elongated grip, a straight comb, and an oval cheekpiece with a beaded edge.

A slim, curved, leather-covered recoil pad and an engraved steel grip cap complete the fittings, alongside the oval inlay on the underside of the stock and the sling swivel base characteristic of our craftsmanship.

Hand engraved markings, including shaded gold-inlaid serial number on the trigger guard and the left side of the receiver ring, as well as the "SAFE" detail on the safety shroud, provide understated decoration, while the sight bases feature very fine engraving and anti-glare stippled finish.

The complete action, screws, and grip cap are bone and charcoal color hardened the traditional way, whereas the barrel, sights, and scope rings feature a black-blued finish; the extractor blade remains nitre-blued.

A 1" tube KAHLES Helia III 3-10x50i scope, with an illuminated reticle, is mounted as low as possible using a set of D&D modified TALLEY rings.

The rifle weighs 7lb 4oz and 8lb 9oz scoped.

** This rifle, which offers remarkable precision, has been range sighted with SAKO Gamehead Pro 165gr cartridge. **
