Category : C
Caliber : .470 NE
That "Dangerous Game" double rifle was built by John RIGBY & C° circa 1912 and re-barreled to .470 Nitro Express 3"¼ by Holland & Holland in the thirties.
The large forged boxlock action uses a Purdey type double grip with a doll head and a modified Anson system fitted with intercepting safety bars while the ejectors are of H&H pattern.
The gorgeous quality 25" H&H chopper lump barrels tip up on a large fixed pin. A three leaves reversed express sight lies on an abbreviated H&H pattern rib and is regulated on a combined bead and moon sight fitted on a speared front sight block.
The severely classic 15"LOP stock is made from nice reddish English walnut as is done the lever bolted forend. The butt end is an orange Silver's plain pad.
The engraving follows the standard Rigby style and the action is finished in a renewed time-honored color casehardening
That rifle, weighting a mere 10lbs 8oz, has benefited from a complete high-grade overhaul; it is in perfect condition and bears our guarantee.
