FN CCS25 B5 Grade Double Rifle
FN-BROWNING
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 9,3x74 R
A superb CCS25 grade B5 over-and-under 9.3x74R double rifle, manufactured at the Fabrique Nationale de Herstal Custom Shop in the early 1990s.
This specimen is in mint condition and appears to have been never used.
Built on the reinforced B25 action (featuring the unmilled solid inside base) and fitted with two gas-escape vents on the right side, this is a Grade B5 version.
The 25 9/16" barrels feature a short express rib, into which the traditional folding butterfly-leaf rear sight is set.
Sighting is regulated on the contrasted bead front sight mounted on a long ramp.
Regulated for driven hunts, the shot dispersion with 285 grains bullets does not exceed 1½" at 60 meters.
The system utilizes the same hammer-struck ejectors that established the reputation of the Browning 25, as well as the sliding forend and double-locking bolt.
The grey hardened action body is engraved with foliaged scrolls and two vignettes: a running roebuck on the right side and a roaring stag on the left.
The engraving is signed by Louise BLEUS, who practiced her craft at FN during the 1980s.
The 14¼" LOP straight stock and the forend are crafted from beautiful, dense, and nicely figured French walnut.
The fine checkering is of superb quality, and the original butt plate bears the Browning logo.
The upper barrel is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL – BELGIQUE" on the left side and "ORIGINAL FN EXPRESS 9.3X74R" on the right.
Weighing 7lb 4oz, this lively double rifle is remarkably well balanced and its excellent selective single trigger allows for rapid follow-up shots.
Rare on the pre-owned market, this firearm also has the distinction of being in near-mint condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of this CCS25, which is backed by our full warranty.
