Pirschstutzen Kipplauf
BOROVNIK Ludwig
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 6,5x57R
This remarkable kipplauf left the Ludwig Borovnik workshops in Ferlach in September 1991.
Originally made in 6x62R Freres caliber, the 24½" octagonal Böhler "Rasant" barrel has been re-lined for the classic 6.5x57R by Waffen Hambrusch in Ferlach in March 2025.
This conversion to a caliber perfectly suited to hunting roe deers and chamois was flawlessly executed and the modification was CIP-tested at the Ferlach proof house that applied the certification marks.
Unsurprisingly, with its new barrel, the rifle delivers outstanding accuracy.
This single shot rifle uses Kersteen triple-locking device, usual Blitz system and double set trigger.
The action, finished in gray, is engraved with traditional German scrolls enlivened by a roe deer vignette.
The new stock has been modernized in a remarkable very high-grade walnut with straight comb and Bavarian cheekpiece.
Its 15" LOP is measured on the checkered plain wood butt pad while the slender forend ends in an elegant black buffalo schnabel.
This kipplauf is equipped with a Swarovski Z6i 2-12x50 SR scope fitted on claw mount.
The rifle alone weighs 6lb 1oz and 7lb 9oz with the scope mounted.
