Category : C

Caliber : 12-70mm/2¾"

A fine side-by-side game gun by Georges GRANGER with hand-detachable H&H sidelocks.

This example left the M.O.F. (Meilleur Ouvrier de France <=> Best Worker in France) workshops in the 1980s, fitted with two sets of barrels on the same action.

The classic action features Purdey double bolts with a third lock sliding on barrel extension, while the sidelocks remain traditional H&H double safety front spring ones controlled by double trigger, the first of which is articulated.

The triple-proofed barrels measure 28?" and their .728" bore are choked to .724" (1/10°) & .717" (3/10°) for the undergrowth barrel and .717" (3/10°) & .701" (7/10°) for the plains one.

The H&H ejectors strike wide diameter cartridge extractors.

The engraving, signed by M.O.F. Christian FREYCON, is a superb English style scroll and bouquet ornamentation, highlighted by the French gray of the action and fittings.

The straight stock is made of very nicely figured French walnut (Juglans Regia) with contrasting grain, the straight stock showing a 14.5" LOP.

The weight of this perfectly balanced shotgun, presented in its English leather case with manufacturer's label, is 6lb 13oz.

This game gun, in remarkable condition, appears to have been sparingly used and is fully covered by our warranty.
