Category : C
Caliber : 6,5x55 SE
Jean-Philippe Dorléac personal hunting gun, this rifle has been built a few years ago on a Mauser DWM 1908 action.
The 24" match grade Lothar Walther barrel, chambered for the 6.5x55 Swede cartridge, has been assembled with meticulous care to the rigorously blueprinted action.
The stepped profile tube bears a gold-lined rear sight regulated on the front bead set on short ramp.
The bolt, with its classic, lowered, operating lever, retains the original safety shroud with reduced flag.
The single stage let-off uses a modified Recknagel trigger mechanism while the percussion kinematics has been lightened.
The Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6x42 R4A scope is secured by a traditional quick detachable claw mount, the rear-locking base being recessed in the loading guide, while the minimalist front base is welded to the barrel start. These two supports have received an anti-reflective ornamental engraving.
The magazine is a DWM 1909 whose opening floor plate is controlled by the lock in the trigger guard bow.
The classic English styled stock, with its beaded oval cheek piece, is made of well-seasoned French walnut while the slender forearm is capped with an ebony tip. The elongated grip ends with a color hardened engraved steel cap.
The stock LOP, measured on the 3/4" English red butt pad, is 14".
All the markings are hand-engraved and all the parts are finished in slow rust bluing with the exception of the engraved and color hardened fittings.
Net weight is 7lb 11oz for the rifle and 9lb with the scope on.
This rifle, that has undergone a careful overhaul and sighting at the range, benefits from our full guarantee.
